Today Cole and Conner experimented with a Hall Effect sensor, which is a device that can detect when a magnet is nearby. The idea is to mount a magnet on the wrist of the Exosuit wearer to determine if they are extending or retracting their elbow.
The state of the sensor is read by an Arduino which determines if the powered elbow joint of the suit needs to move up or down.
Sam worked on the first prototype elbow.
