Things are moving pretty quickly now.
Thelonius, Ed, and Connor continued work on the frame that we’ll tether the suit to when it’s being put on, and when we’re training ourselves to walk using the suit.
They started the day building the design they came up with last week that is basically a cube with supports in the corners. They then started to consider a design based on more of an A-Frame.
Connor and Thelonius prototyping the two designs using popsicle sticks and hot glue (two of our favorite things).
The completed A-Frame prototype.
Meanwhile, Cole and Gabriel worked on the control board for the prototype electric arm. The board is supposed to provide bidirectional control of the elbow based on inputs from two Hall Effect sensors. They got one direction working, but there is still something wrong with the second direction.
Sammy remounted the control board and wiring on the prototype pneumatic arm.
Joseph and Ed kept working on the Inventor model, focusing specifically on the lower torso to determine the size of the cylinders we need to buy to finish a working lower torso using pneumatics.
Leslie provided provided lunch, lots of sandwich fixings.
