Build Session 23

Big news: The prototype legs were finally able to walk! The new foot design seems to have done the trick. Cole reported that it felt very natural and worked just as we have been imagining. Here’s a short video clip of the big moment:

After the walking test some tweaking was needed. Sammy adjusted the calf mount for the left leg to make it a bit more comfortable:

Now that we’ve conquered walking it’s time to turn our attention to the design of the final suit. Joseph continued working on refinements to the Inventor model:

After lunch we had a quick team meeting to discuss aspects of the Kickstarter campaign, including project budget and backer gifts:

All in all a really big day today. We’ll need to work hard and fast to complete the final suit, but at least we have a very good idea of what’s ahead. At this point it looks like we’ve finally gotten past the biggest unknown.
